Dear Jackson Children, I am both sad and rejoicing at the home going of your Dad. You see, my dad was committed to a mental institution when I was only 7 and any memories I had of him before that were wrought with fear. I never knew the support, encouragement and love of a dad until I met Frank Jackson. He cared about me and I loved him! The many hours I spent in your parent's back room, they in their recliners with Bibles on their laps, were some of my happiest moments ever. I soaked up the Fatherly wisdom and thanked God for the gift. Among some of my most prized possessions are notes he hand wrote to me in his wonderfully formal yet warm way. I will close with one story that tickled me. He must have been close to 90 when on one visit he said, 'no disrespect intended but do you use Dogpile?' I said, Frank!! are you on line?? And of course he was! Thank you for sharing him with me. I am a better person for having known him.
